Greetings All ~ I am glad to see that this Yahoo Group is quietly growing. Third World News is ultimately world news from where the vast majority of the people of planet Earth live, not in the U.S.A. and certainly not in Europe.
As a rule, mass media is corporate controlled and we are now but a small group of people in this little Yahoo Group who see the importance and significance of finding out and knowing what is going on in Latin America, Africa and Asia and other un-reported or under-reported regions of the planet, our Mother Earth.
I am a life long advocate and activist for the rights of all people. I am now 57-Earth years and still going strong. If I would of known I would of lived this long...
In my high school years I was a Member of MAYA, the Brown Beretes and worked with the UFWOC (United Farm Workers Organizing Committee) now known as the UFW. Nowadays I am a Counselor at the local Salvation Army Emergency Shelter, slowly working on my own creative writings and hope to eventually make a decent living from my writings so I myself can visit regions of the Third World, especially Latin America.
So much has changed since my teenage years, yet so much still remains the same. People still suffer, babies still are born, monopoly capital still rules the world economy and there is still a great need for raising consciousness amongst all people.
Sometimes I will post News Articles that speak of matters that I may not fully agree with but I have faith in the readership to use their own minds and come to their own conclusions.
This is a wide open group, anyone can join and post anything about anything. I just hope we all use common sense wisdom and are fully respectful of others. Sometimes it is good when we disagree, when we argue and debate in order to come to a better understanding of the real truth. If we know everything we can learn nothing and we should be open to learning from anyone from any source.
Join other groups, branch out and network as you can via the Internet, especially with our family in so-called foreign lands. We are of the same species of life as one human family, despite our surface differences.
Come together, love one another and do not be afraid to speak out and share your truth. The truth is neither left nor right-wing, It is the truth and I believe that the truth in harmony with compassionate action out in the real world will help free us all!
Please try to keep posted articles relevant to the Third World, especially if they are from new news sources. We are waking up, we are raising our consciousness and information transmitted through the power of the word is absorbed into the brain differently than what we hear through our ears. Study brain science!
